About Vermont VA Federal Credit Union

Vermont VA Federal Credit Union (VT VA FCU), chartered in 1939, has the honor and privilege of being the oldest credit union in the State of Vermont. With more than 2,300 members and $33 million in assets, the credit union serves the employees of the White River Junction VA Medical Center and their immediate families, along with those that live, work, worship or attend school in Grafton or Sullivan Counties in New Hampshire or Windsor and Orange Counties in Vermont.

Credit unions are not for profit but for service and its members are its owners.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of VT VA FCU and we participate regularly in the Toys for Tots and March of Dimes programs.

There are so many advantages to membership at Vermont VA FCU.

Member Owned: At Vermont VA FCU you're more than just a customer. You're a member/owner. We are a full-service financial institution with a variety of time-saving services.

Competitive: As a credit union, we are, by definition, a not-for-profit, member-owned, financial cooperative. And so, as a member of Vermont VA FCU, you'll enjoy loan rates that are typically lower than banks and other financial institutions. Higher savings rates, too.

Easy to join: Complete an application and bring into the credit union with A $5.00 deposit and a copy of your driver's license. That's all there is to it. Remember once a member always a member as long as you maintain the $5.00 minimum deposit balance.

Membership Eligibility: In 2015, membership eligibility was expanded into the larger community to include those that live, work, worship or attend school in Grafton or Sullivan Counties in New Hampshire or Windsor and Orange Counties in Vermont

We're Federally Insured: Your accounts are insured for up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. Individual Retirement Accounts are insured for an additional $250,000.
